Arlie

For me, hair is the ultimate mix of two things: creative self-expression and taking care of people. I’m Arlie, a metro Detroit native, and I’ve known this was my path since I was little. I’ve always been drawn to art and color, but as I grew up, I realized my true drive was a desire to help others. Blending those two pieces together is exactly what brought me into the industry. After graduating from Douglas J Aveda in Royal Oak, I jumped straight into advanced training to keep sharpening my technical skills and growing as an artist.

Behind the chair, I specialize in lived-in blonding, dimensional color, and custom layered cuts. Everything I execute is anchored by a strict focus on personalized hair health—because a beautiful shape only works if the integrity of the hair is there to back it up. I look at our time together as a true collaboration. We’re in it together, creating a look that is entirely yours.

When I’m not at the salon, you can usually find me channeling my energy into crafting, catching a horror movie, or blasting music and dancing my heart out.

At my core, I'm a natural caretaker. My chair is a completely open, judgment-free zone where you will always be listened to, respected, and meticulously cared for.
